Ayrshire Schools Snowsports Championship

Open to everyone in an Ayrshire school, this entry level race is for those still mastering their skills on the small slope or ready to race.

Entry Level

Skills Competition: Must be able to use a snowplough and come down safely from the top of the beginner slope.

Race: Must be turning, controlling speed from the top of the main slope and able to use poma independently.

SSSA Autumn Qualifier
Race
The Newmilns qualifier for the SSSA Dual Slalom Race will take place at NSASC on 5th October 2024. See SSSA Website for more details.

Suitable for those who are already at recreational standard. These sessions will include instruction for those wishing to take part in the upcoming race with the aim of introducing them to stubbies or improving their racing technique. These sessions are £20* for one hour if booked individually. Or you can book out a slot for 10 people for £180*, please contact info@skinewmilns.com for more info.

Time Trials
These are supervised sessions for those who wouldn't like any instruction. Each person will be timed by an instructor and teams can be formed by NSASC on behalf of the schools, if required. These sessions are £15* for one hour if booked individually. Or you can book out a slot for 12 people for £140*, please contact info@skinewmilns.com for more info.

Gates Out

Race stubbies will be left out at these times for anyone to use. Only suitable for those who are confident skiers. These cost £12* per person.
